The popular kiddies' packaged snack, Cheesey Puffs, have today come under attack from the Politically Correct brigade.
Spokesman for the PCA - the Politically Correct Association - Gordon Linnekar, made the announcement at their Annual General Meeting held in Bognor Regis yesterday.
"We are of the opinion that the name "Cheesey Puffs" could be interpreted by the unwary as 'Homosexuals with a corny sense of humour'.
"In this day and age of respect for everyone except suicide bombers and Ant and Dec, we felt it paramount that this situation be addressed immediately so as not to uncomfortably slur members of the gay community.
"If they were grounds for suggesting that homosexuals were in any more pre-disposed to making corny jokes than the rest of the population as a whole, we would be delighted that there might be a convenience snack dedicated to them, but as it stands, we have decided that this nomenclature is wholly inappropriate."
