Under fire Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has blamed bin laden for the demonstrations that are wreaking havoc in his country.
In a phone call to a TV station, the autocrat said that "a bin laden with a large haul of cannabis seized by Tripoli customs officers was inadvertently set alight.
A strong desert wind suddenly sprang up and blew the pungent aroma across this great land and poisoned the minds of my people.
They became temporarily insane and this caused them to attribute misfortune and bad luck to my reign, leading them to rise up and call for my downfall.
Once the effects of these illicit narcotics leave their bodies and minds, they will revert to their normal loyal, peace loving selves and return to their quiet lives".
It must have been some strong shit, because there's no sign of that happening yet.
