Muammar Gadaffi, president of Libya, and also known as 'The Colonel', is not feasting on a bucket today, but may be about to kick one. His wings have been clipped and are no doubt fried from the desert heat, not to mention from the fiery protests which have rocked Libya in recent days. Nuggets of information coming out of the country show that protesters have shown a lot of bravery in rioting against the dictator, in fact it's fair to say they have put on a finger-licking display of balls.
Yesterday, under-pressure Gadaffi made a speech in which he complained about all the ways his people had disappointed him this month. He wailed about three groups - the army, the people, and foreigners. He said that he had been 'Tripoli' betrayed.
He also had a warning for anyone attempting to succeed him and take over his palace. He said in a cod-Italian accent, "I 'Libya' waitin' for you."
