The Apocalypse is upon us, the world is falling apart bit by bit. The climate is doing totally unexpected, swings from one extreme to the other. National economies are failing, one after the other, like a unstable house of cards with no sign of being shored up, The fields are barren or not producing what they use to. Food is becoming scarce where it was accessible before. Grocery prices are soaring day by day and fuel is priced far beyond anything reasonable.
Disease is thriving on all fronts and forms. The variation of sicknesses has become alarming.
The world is crumbling around our ears and no one seems to know what to do about it.
All these indicators point to the end of the world as stated in the Bible and writings of the ancients.
All of this and it doesn't seem to faze anyone. The end could come, to some it would just be an interrupted text message.
When I tried to poll people on their observations and worries, I couldn't even get anyone to respond.
Excuse me, I'd say to the businessman in the pinstriped suit, he pushes past, talking about something extremely important about bolt threads.
Pardon me, I ask the next woman, she brushes by with an IPhone reading Facebook.
I stop, I look around, everyone walking by or across the street is plugged in. Plugged into conversation, plugged into text messaging, plugged into sports. plugged into email, plugged into a network, plugged into looking like you're plugged into being plugged in. Have to keep up appearances. Wouldn't want to be the only person not plugged.
Everyone is transfixed by hypnotizing bits and bites illustrated by luminescent pixels.
It's the Matrix before my eyes. we've all become a flock of copper tops waiting for the harvest. All things being equal, I think we're all seriously, hypnotically, doomed.
