Thousands of French took to the streets in protest of the lack of vacation days provided to the rioters while protesting against the change in the retirement policies in the country.
One rioter stated "I work hard rioting. I need vacation days to recuperate from this vandalism, and better lunches too!" He said this in French.
An unidentified man then shouted "You tell 'em, Jean!"
Rioters are asking to get longer breaks and better food during the rioting season, and for one vacation day every two weeks. Right now they only have lunch provided on alternate days and a half vacation day every three weeks. A rioter commented that the lunches "weren't very good and were of a much lower quality than during previous riots."
A spokesman for the rioters said he was glad that at least he had his healthcare. "I cut my finger throwing a chair through a window " he explained and added "the government should pay for that. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be rioting in the first place!"
One rioter made the point that if he continues rioting until retirement, now he'll have to riot until he's 62.
"That's two more years! I deserve extra for that."
