President Barack Obama, who won the Nobel Peace Prize "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples," and two Grammy for his audio book readings of "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream" in 2006 and "Dreams from My Father" in 2008, has just been awarded a record eleven MTV Video Music Awards.
Obama won for the following:
Best Male Video for "Who Made This F--king Mess?", the BP Gulf Oil Spill.
Best Rock Video for "Barack Obama Covers Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force"
Best Direction in a Video, for "Stop Trying To Be Sexy, Mylie. You're, Like, 12."
According to a May 2009 poll, Obama was rated as the most popular world leader, as well as the one figure most people would pin their hopes on for unf--king-up the world after George W. Bush broke it?
Best Editing in a Video for editing the phrase, "So, lastly, f--k al y'all Mother F--kers!" out of his first State Of The Union Address.
Obama has this to say at the Award show.
"Your Majesties, Your Royal Highnesses, distinguished members of the MTV voting committee, Kanye West:
I receive this honor with deep gratitude and great humility. Frankly, I don't know what the hell is going on. Thursday night I wrote: 'Michelle, if you try cooking that hideous Stir Fry one more time, I will divorce you' on a Post-It Note, and I got a Pulitzer Prize in the mail. I went to see Puppetry of the Penis two weeks ago, and I ended up winning a Tony Award."
