ROME: Cardinal Burl O'Scooney a leading Vatican authority and future Pope contender says Italy's political leaders are 'incapable' of fixing the country's economy and are only indulging in squabbles while pursuing self interests.
Terming the behavior of the ruling government as disgusting and an unedifying spectacle, Cardinal Burl O'Scooney said:
"The time has come to take Italy out of the hands of civilian politicians and put it back where it rightfully belongs - in the hands of the Pope."
The Cardinal said that was "what God always intended" adding, only the Vatican can bring back morality, righteousness, piety, family values, decency, respect and spirituality to bereft Italians.
