The Maasai tribe in Kenya who are armed only with some bamboo poles were yesterday accused of having weapons of mass destruction by both the British and American Governments but later these comments were retracted when it became clear Kenya was not worth invading because they have no oil.
Politicians in Britain and America were disappointed because they had bets on how many weeks of reporting on television and newspapers it would take to convince people that the Maasai had weapons of mass destruction. Most bets were on two weeks at evens fav although there was some interest on three weeks at 5-2.
Alastair Campbell and Peter Mandelson however believe that they could convince people in one day that a tribe of natives with bamboo poles had weapons of mass destruction.
