Around this time each year, hundreds of young Israelis forsake their homeland and religion to go on a pilgrimage to the new Zion- the U.S.A. They come to celebrate the birth of Christ in their own fashion.
They can be seen religiously offering a yearly service, attempting for long hours every day to get people strolling by to listen to them and to win over converts. Yes, it is the yearly Hadj to the shopping malls of America where the young zealots show their devotion to making lots of Mammon by selling Christians Christmas stuff.
In shopping centers through out America the Israelis rent kiosks and sell any item that shoppers will gobble up. Toy helicopters, singing stuffed toys, special herbal cream, shampoo, anything and everything. Within the two months time leading up to Christmas they will each make a healthy tithe, enough with which to vacation a bit before their visa expires. And they sing "What a friend we have in Jesus!" the whole way.
Such devotion to a foreign religion brings tears to ones eyes.
