Boston,MA/ Boston Globe Almost Final Edition - Governor Deval Patrick, sponsor of the now infamous free welfare car program, came under additional fire today from taxpayer groups after a car recipient was involved in a road rage incident taking the lives of 14 Somali commuters, and potentially costing the state untold millions in civil and punitive damages.
The unnamed driver of the 1985 donated Lincoln Town Car, now represented by the ACLU, allegedly became enraged when she saw a sticker on a Toyota Prius that passed her on a congested highway during rush hour that stated "No Free Cars for Deadbeats," resulting in a deadly high speed confrontation.
Apparently the Lincoln rammed the Prius from behind, causing it to catapult in the air while in the new Big Dig Tunnel, hitting the roof of the leaking public works project, causing 47 ceiling tiles to fall and crush a passing bus containing a bunch of Somali pirates who were on their way to being given new identities , jobs as Tele Marketers and housing in Rutland, Vermont.
While the name of the driver of the run away Lincoln is being protected , it has been determined that it is a Black,Gay, Transgender Muslim unwed Mother of 12 who is also an illegal alien living in Public Housing in Roxbury.
A representative of the ACLU speaking at a news conference from the steps of Boston City Hall said it was all Governor Patrick's fault!
The welfare program was designed to take donated cars and give them to unemployed citizens so they could commute to newly found jobs. Unfortunately if they failed to keep the job, they kept the car but the car was no longer covered by state paid for liability insurance and AAA.
The ACLU is now charging, and suing, the state for $75 million dollars for gross neglect and for pain and suffering on behalf of its client.
An investigation has established that the driver, identified as "Client 9", was fired from his/her job as a Census Taker for ACORN when he/she was going door to door soliciting sex and selling crack instead of counting heads. She was given 10 warnings and an oral reprimand before being let go with 4 months severance pay , a letter of recommendation, and a community college school voucher for two years of vocational retraining.
I have determined the following facts in the case:
- Client 9 failed 3 drug tests prior to getting the ACORN Job
- The State gave Client 9 a car without verifying, or requiring that the Client obtain a valid driver's license.
- That the state failed to keep valid insurance on the car after the Client lost her job
- That the state failed to maintain Client 9's car in good running condition, and extensive body damage after Client's 6 hit and run incidents, were not repaired leading to an unsafe, uninspected vehicle being on the road driven by an illegal alien with no drivers license and under the influence of drugs.
The ACLU is also suing for the unpaid balance on the Client's single car garage rental of $1250 a month, $4500 in Toll reimbursement from the Mass. Turnpike Authority, and downtown Boston parking fees near the Courthouse of $6249 when the Client was called to Jury Duty, but was never required to serve due to her aversion to the death penalty.
A representative from the ACLU said they are currently negotiating a settlement with the state which would avoid litigation in exchange for a life time appointment as a Toll Taker for the MTA, a replacement late model car, a seat on the board at ACORN and a position as a fund raiser for Congressman Barney Frank's re election campaign.
In response, Governor Patrick raised the state sales tax to 15%, the gas tax to 29% and formed a new committee to monitor welfare car distribution.
