Celebrities have got together today to support the victims of the Italian earthquake.
U2's Bono said, "Italy is the forgotten country of Africa, and these poor people need our support, so give them your f**king money, NOW." He added, "We believe that at least one of the victims may be black, and it is important that we are seen to support black people overseas in these harrowing times."
Radio One DJ Chris Moyles is putting together a group of celebrities who will climb Hampstead Heath next month in support of the tragedy. These are thought to include at least two members of a forgotten boy band, one of which said today "This is great, I thought that I would have to wait for celebrity Big Brother to get back on TV, but this opportunity has come out of the Blue. It just goes to show that every cloud has a silver lining."
Annie Lennox was quoted as saying "My new CD, launched to coincide with Comic Relief, is still in the shops and 0.0001% of the profits go to charitable causes."
