One of the Bono's in U2

A spokeman for world topping band U2, has confirmed that the band's lead guitarist "The Edge" (real name David Howell Evans) has today finalised the legal documentation to change his name to "Bono".

The lead signer of the band, "Bono" (real name Paul David Hewson), is said to be dazed and confused that he is no longer "Bono from U2", now simply being "one of the Bonos from U2".

The motivation for the change is not known however lawyers are already trying to identify if this gives new Bono any rights to old Bono's money or awards.

It is believed that the Vatican, who have recognised Bono for a number of humanitarian achievements, are in the process today of recognising new Bono with the same awards.

Both Larry Mullen Jr and Adam Clayton have refused to comment today on speculation that they too are planning to become Bono.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
