Josef Fritzl, the Austrian Bunker King, who kept his daughter in a cellar under his home for 24 years whilst he fathered children with her, appeared in court today in St Poelten, accused of murder, rape and incest, but displayed an air of seeming nonchalance towards the proceedings.
Fritzl seemed unfazed by his ordeal and the interest from the gathered throng of 200 journalists, and, rather than answering questions, chose instead to read a blue A4 binder.
It's not known what was contained within the pages of the blue binder, but it must have been gripping, because the 73-year-old filthmonger never once raised his eyes from its pages, not even when the judge asked him to identify himself.
The book may have contained his notes for the trial, but they'll have to have been bloody good notes, in order for this prick to stand a chance of ever seeing daylight again.
Fritzl's wife told reporters:
"He was always reading - whenever he wasn't fucking my daughter, that is!"
