In a surprise statement from the Vatican, the Pope has declared that Christmas will now in future be celebrated on 1st December.
Three wise men noticed a heavenly alignment of Venus, Jupiter and a crescent moon at the beginning of last month as a big Smiley in the evening sky. It has been interpreted as God smiling on the World.
"It will also make Christmas more special," said Cardinal O'Begeyzas, "We won't have to share the Lord's birth with Jews, Arabs and Non-believers who insist on calling it the 'Holidays'."
"It's Happy Christmas! not Feggin Happy Holidays!" added the Cardinal.
