Athens police get ready for another meek charge

Members of the Society for Determined Meekness took to the streets of Athens Greece today to voice their strong opposition to the Vatican's recent declaration that the meek shall not necessarily inherit the earth.

When confronted with significant Police lines, meek protesters became agressive and attacked the law enforcement officers with bricks and broken bottles. Nobody was seriously hurt except for one meek agitator who complained that "someone trod on his pinkie".

Tear gas was used by the police at one stage and batons were not entirely absent from one on one clashes with the protestors.

"All meek believers have to accept the umpire's decision" the Chief of Athens Police stated later today. "There is no way round it. If they want trouble, they'll get it in spades from us" he added.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
