Rotting leftovers from Naples' kitchens were stinking up the streets of the once glorious city. Hefty homemaker, Luigiana Lasagna said that her now fussy husband and ragazzi will no longer eat leftovers: "In my day, we ate everythinga putta ins fronta us. Now dey wanta go to Burgera Kinga and my meatballs are aspoiling!"
So many Napolitan households are having this problem that the streets are littered with canneloni, spaghetti and manicotti. Naple's Sanitation Department Directore, Tooda Dumpa reported that the landfills were so full of leftover pizza and penne that the garbage would stay in the streets.
Finally, the Mayor of Hamburg, Germany offered a solution: "We are so sick of Hamburgers all the time! We would love some real home cooked Italian food even if it's a little old." Starting today Naples' leftovers will be airlifted into the starving city.
