Brisbane, Australia - Mercedes Corby, sister of convicted drug smuggler Shapelle Corby broke down in court and confessed that her family were all bogans.
Bogans are typically people of little class that are commonly called 'trailer trash' in the United States or 'Welsh' in the United Kingdom.
Queens councilor Stuart Littlemore told the court that "It is no crime to be a bogan in Australia".
Ms Corby said of her sister Shapelle "She never done nuffing".
Shapelle Corby was sentenced to 18 months in a Bali jail for smuggling drugs and a further 30 years for having very badly plucked eyebrows and impersonating a beauty therapist.
Australia's last census conducted in 2006 revealed that 65% of Australian considered themselves to be bogans and would never consider missing a single minute of Big Brother.
The case continues tomorrow where the judge will ask to see Mercedes Corby do 'the drawback', scull a beer and inspect the tats above her bum.
