Venezualan potentate, Hugo Chavez, has unleashed the full might of the Venezualan army -some 11 tanks, 84 soldiers and 47 battle-hardened Chihuahuas- in a "revenge" attack against Disneyland.
Mr. Chavez has also called for the non-existent Venezualan Disneyland embassy to be shut for what he has described as "vile encroachments" of Disney cartoons on state tv -despite them never having been shown.
A wild-eyed Chavez, 66, smoked the traditional Venezualan crackpipe as he made the on-air announcement.
"The situation is grave" he said between puffs "but we can no longer stand by while our values are undermined."
Mickey Mouse War
In a confusing speech, in which at one stage Mickey Mouse is praised as a "great revolutionary" and a "socialist hero", Chavez seemed to be under the delusion that Daffy Duck had been beheaded "in cold blood" by a group of of oil-baron script editors.
Some of the Venezualan president's outrage appears to be because he is a frustrated artist -like his boyhood hero Adolf Hitler- who has had his own cartoon characters rounded rejected by the establishment.
The Disney Corporation is said to be drafting in a crack squad of dwarfs to deal with the crisis.
