Obama, Japan - (Ass Mess): The 32,000 inhabitants of the ancient Japanese fishing town of Obama, located in the Wakasa Area of Fukui Prefecture, are deeply worried about the American election.
"US Democrats are backing namesake candidate Barack Obama?" worried local mayor Toshio Murakami asked today.
"Not very good name for American president. In Japanese, Obama means 'little whore'.
"Surely US president should have name that means 'big whore' like...er, Yariman! - or even Baka-ka ('stupid asshole) or maybe Kitanai ('dirtbag')."
Obama was so named three thousand years ago after Throne Emperor Chrisanthemum downgraded the townsfolk from being official imperial harlots.
The people of Fukui Prefecture are proud of their heritage and have sent countless petitions to the Japanese government voicing their opposition to the US presidential candidate.
"We not happy about a President Obama," said Murakami. "Make laughing stock of proud Japanese fishermen."
