North Korea has made a new and unusual offer in ongoing negotiations over their nuclear arsenal. A negotiator for Kim Jong Il reportedly said that the rogue leader is quite fond of US celebrity Paris Hilton. The nation would surrender all nuclear materials if Hilton is delivered to Pyongyang, where she would serve out the rest of her jail term under house arrest in Kim's palace.
US negotiators, led by Christopher Hill, walked out immediately after the proposal was made. Japanese and Russian participants are said to be working with North Korea to present the terms in a better light. Japan's foreign minister, Taro Aso, said that the idea had "some merit," and he hoped the US would reconsider. Modified terms might include using a Russian lookalike along with the inclusion of a high-definition enhanced copy of the Paris Hilton sex tape.
Notified of the proposal in her jail cell, Paris Hilton reportedly laughed at the idea: "Pyongyang? Is that what he calls his thing?"
