Portuguese Police have today revealed that a mystery sample of DNA has been found in the bedroom where Madeleine McCann was abducted, according to reports.
The DNA was immediately arrested and placed in police custody awaiting examination. Portuguese police have not revealed how they managed to miss the DNA sample over the past 4 weeks of intensive searching as Portuguese law forbids the release of such significant information.
Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas claimed the DNA does not match that of Mr and Mrs McCann or their three children. Neither does the DNA match that of property developer Robert Murat. However, despite this, the Portuguese police are still adamant that Mr Murat is their principle, probable and potentially only suspect.
Portuguese Police revealed,"The DNA has remained silent despite torture. It is refusing to speak. Until the DNA tells us otherwise we still think it's the British man."
