Washington, DC--President Bush today misinterpreted the wishes of Queen Elizabeth when she wished to see his own stately quarters.
"I asked to see the Presidential throne room" huffed the bespectacled queen, "and he brings me to the lavatory!"
President Bush smirked amiably as reporters questioned him about the incident: "Well, I thought, maybe after all that tea, she needed to visit the little ladies room," commented a well-quaffed Bush after the state dinner to celebrate the Queen's visit to the United States.
"So I kindly directed her to the head. Um, that's a militant--um--military term from my days in service," explained Bush. "You know what I mean. I told her where the shitter was, heh, heh."
The Queen was reportedly mortified but unruffled at the discovery. Bush was out on the south lawn "watering" the rose garden and not available for further comment.
