A writer who frequents a satirical news website has told of how he believes he is being targeted by a company that supplies catheters, in the hope that he will buy one.
Moys Kenwood, 56, a writer at TheSpoof.com, was looking at the site just now, when he noticed an advertisement for COMPACTCATH, and a bloke holding a board that said "As seen on TV", underneath the name. Free catheter samples appeared available.
But, said Kenwood:
"They can shove their catheters where the sun don't shine!"
He added:
"The internet algorithms are clever things, but they've made a blob here! I don't need a catheter, and, regardless of how much they bombard me with this ad, and no matter how cheap they are, I won't be falling for this sinister, hostile, and, I have to say, insidious attempt to make me buy one!"
Spoof boss, Mark Lowton, explained:
"It's probably something to do with his age, the daft old sod!"
