Canada, recently twinned with the Isle of Wight, may boast Wonderland, with its exhilarating collection of rides and roller coasters, but it is to be put in the shade by the proposed Smuggler Experience park planned for next season on the Isle of Wight.
Wonderland, which unleashed Leviathan in 2012 - one of the tallest and fastest coasters in the world and Wonder Mountain's Guardian, an award-winning 4-D interactive dark ride introduced in 2014, currently thrill guests of all ages.
But for Isle of Wight holidaymakers, who prefer milder thrills, a variety of relaxing rides will await them from 2015.
Every member of the family is sure to find one that is just right for them. From egg and spoon races to the new Smuggler Theme Park with no fewer than five find the sticker games, to "train" rides on carts pulled by old tractors.
The resort's "Greencoats" will ensure visitors are entertained from the moment they arrive, to the moment they depart. A spokesperson told our travel editor that from this year all the Greencoats will be trained in the use of defibrillator first aid kits to deal with over-excitement issues.
