The Greek government is refusing to comment on reports that it has bought "The Needles", a major tourist attraction with its own Chili Dog stall and cable car system.
The attraction, stolen last week from the Isle of Wight, turned up at a famous Knightsbridge auction house this morning. Unsuccessful bidder, The British Museum's Chief Buyer said, "The Greek government is obviously planning to demand a ransom of $40 million plus the return of the Elgin Marbles for the safe return of the popular but cumbersome tourist attraction.
Police searched an 8th floor welfare flat at Nelson Mandela Towers, Peckham on Friday and arrested Derek and Rodney Trotters. The Needles attraction was spotted for sale on Ebayz last week. The pair were later released without charge.
