Inhabitants of the Norwegian town Rubbestadneset had an exciting moment today as the local traffic light on a crossroad suddenly started working.
This light usually remains off due to the low amount of traffic going past the crossroad. Today however was such a seemingly busy day that the traffic lights had to be turned on.
Several cars were seen passing by, 21 to be precise, after that the traffic lights were turned off again and the locals returned to their daily routine.
Even though this is highly exceptional, the amount of cars as well as the traffic lights turning on without prior warning, the civilians were able to take it without a lot of hoopla and hullabaloo.
'I am surprised by the calm and relaxed reaction that followed by the traffic lights turning on.' Said by a local. 'Usually several people call the mayor to check if it is correct. Local newspapers and TV crews show up as well. I dare say this is the best reaction so far.'
Only 10 of the about 1100 inhabitants said they didn't really give a shit about traffic lights.
