Unnamed sources are reporting that former U.S president George W. Bush has been admitted to a mental health facility in Houston, Texas suffering from "severe emotional distress".
'Dubya', who lost the presidential election to Barack Obama in 2008, has been living the quite life at his ranch outside Dallas, but has becoming increasingly concerned at events unfolding in the Middle East.
An anonymous source from Dallas Memorial Hospital announced that Bush had been muttering about "being next in the line of fire" while he was being admitted.
Friends claim that the ex president had been watching the demonstrations in Tunisia and Egypt when he suddenly flipped and went off the deep end.
He was convinced that he would be the next ruler to be deposed screaming:
"They're coming for me. The demonstrations are opposing a ruler who has made a fortune from oil and keeps making bizarre statements in public. That sounds like me.
"They're talking about the leader of a dessert kingdom. I've got a Ben and Jerry's theme park on my ranch. Its definitely me.
"Get me out of here!"
A long, detailed psychological assessment is expected, and well overdue.
