TRIPOLI, LIB. - As the United Nations Organisation (UN) declares a No-Fly Zone over Libyan territory, Culiseta longiareolata, mosquito, has been attacked by homo sapien forces for appearing to look like a member of the Diptera (fly) family.
"It's terrible," said Moss Q., "Males go around pollinating flowers and shit, and our females go around sucking yer blood. But we're not flies. Our males, at least, are useful to the human populace."
Many refugee flies have escaped the country, going into fly-rich nations such as Egypt, and some have been transported to Europe and North America to find safety.
Mosquitoes, thinking that as non-members of Diptera, they would not be attacked.
"It's frustrating," said another, "all because you homo sapiens can't distinguish between us. You're very 'homo', although that technically means 'same', but we're using it in the colloquial sense."
In other news, some homo sapiens are doing that crazy-ass war thing again.
