In a secret gathering held in a ballroom beneath the capitol building last night, Senator Ann Whatatush, republican from the state of Kansas was awarded a one million dollar prize, mismanaged out of the defense budget, for the years best pork barrel project.
In what other republicans are hailing as true Palinesque creativity, Senator Whatatush has earmarked twenty million dollars for her state to build five lighthouses along the Kansas and Oklahoma border.
"These lighthouses will be built in order to keep oil tankers and other shipping from crashing upon the coral reefs and rocky shoals that separate the two great states."
The Senator told friends that talk too much that Kansas is part of "fly over" country and no one cares what goes on there and she added, "Geography was never a Senate strong suit."
The Senator then danced the night away with former actor Bruce Witless in between bong hits of salvia.
