Animal rights activists have staged a rally protesting the slaughter of an estimated 5.35 million defenseless turkeys during this holiday season. The protesters gathered outside a turkey farm in upstate N.Y. to further make their point.
"We've banded together to help these poor helpless birds in their time of need". stated one protester dressed like a turkey. Gobble, Gobble, could be heard from the crowd as farm workers drove into the turkey farm.
The activists object to this useless genocide saying, "these are creatures of God and should be treated as such".
They plan to further expand objections to Christmas trees as well. It is estimated 53 million trees are chopped down in the prime of their lives.
The head of the group stated, "We will not sit still during this holiday seasons killing spree. First it's the murder of turkeys, then it's the pine trees, where will it all end"?
