Washington - Obama had some good news to share with reporters this week; his fantasy football team is still number one for ten weeks in a row.
"I thought I would share my good news about my fantasy football league. Sure, it is the second year in a row that my team is number one, but with people being out of jobs and needing inspirational stories, I thought mine would help.
"I didn't have any success in my fantasy football league until I became president. Sure, Biden hasn't won yet, and Gibbs is stuck in the middle, but Michele is sure giving me a run for my money." President Obama told reporters today.
It isn't unusual for a president to have hobbies, and who is to say that the president should be spending more time on the economy, but if playing fantasy football helps him make it through the day, so let him play.
"I was feeling in the dumps today because I received a rejection letter from the job I interviewed for the other day, it was my fifteenth rejection letter in the past three months, but my mood sure picked up when I heard the president was doing well." Joe the Plumber said.
At a time when many Americans can't afford to play fantasy football, President Obama is giving hope to many Americans that maybe someday when the economy picks up that they too might be able to be successful at fantasy football like him.
