WASHINGTON, DC - In a risky move, President Obama has decided to ignore the economy and focus on a more important issue: The 2010 midterm elections.
The White House had promised a recovery summer, but unemployment rose to 9.6 percent last month, and more than five million people have been out of work for six months or longer. As a result, the president has decided that trying to address America's economic woes has been a political disaster.
Rather than trying to improve the economy with massive government programs and taxpayer-funded bailouts, President Obama has decided to focus exclusively on slogans and ads.
One of his favorite slogans is a spin-off of the one that helped him get elected. "Yes We Can" has been reworked into "No We Didn't". Other favorites are "Blame You Can Believe In" and "Change? I got your change right here!".
Obama's latest ad, titled "Pray for Me", is an attempt to prove to Americans that he is not a Muslim. In the ad, President Obama is shown praying... on his knees... on a rug... facing E-S-E...
