The American College of Professors Who Teach in a College said that, by far and away, Barack Obama was the best president America had in 2009.
Spokesperson for the group Courtney Hurper Smith-Harper said that President Obama clearly showed "much more leadership in the field of president related things than anyone else. I mean, look at the record, you know." She then added that "even Vice president Joe Bymann, who's almost the president himself, didn't even come close. That's saying something!"
The Professors, working with a $50,000 government grant, studied the issue for several hours before coming to their conclusion. President Obama said the honor was "an honor but also a wake up call. I won't rest until I wake up, and that's a promise! God Bless America, and God Bless me."
Other candidates considered for the honor included George W. Bush, actor Martin Sheen and the Michelin Man.
