For many years, Las Vegas and the state of Nevada have had legalized prostitution and has licensed females. The city has now taken this a step further and will now begin licensing male prostitutes, also known as "gigolos."
These men, however, will not be permitted to practice their craft legally outside of city limits, however, as "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."
Some men who were in line to apply for the license had questions about legal issues. The one most asked was "would they be financially liable is a business transaction resulted in a pregnancy?"
The answer, according to the City Attorney, was "only if it was a local woman, because what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."
Another frequently asked question involved the money making potential. City councilwoman Anne LeDoux, a former licensed prostitute herself, answered this concern when she said that "if you fat ass lardos with no hair and beer bellies think that women are paying to sleep with you, you got shit for brains."
LeDoux did say that the more successful gigolos would probably be the young, randy College age males who probably "get all they want anyway, but just see this as a way to get paid for it."
She also suggested that men thinking about entering the profession consider this: the only women who are willing to pay you for it are those too ugly to pick up drunk men in a bar and get it for free."
LeDoux felt that any man wishing to apply for a license give himself a test. "Go to the mall wearing your tightest jeans and an unbuttoned shirt. If no man or woman comes up to talk to you, don't apply. If you hear any giggles, don't apply. If women, or men, see you and walk the other way, don't apply."
Another caution from the Councilwoman was that men who had nicknames similar to "peewee" avoid the profession, as they didn't have the qualifications.
