VANCOUVER - One of the best members of the Australian ice hockey team Joshua Brismantle has been sent back home to Perth, Australia.
It seems that Brismantle was somehow able to sneak his pet kangaroo Hoppity Hop, onto the plane in Melbourne, Australia for the flight to Vancouver, Canada.
The Canadian Department of Health strictly prohibits the bringing in of any type of non-Canadian animal, bird, mammal, or insect.
Since there are no kangaroos anywhere in Canada Mr. Brismantle was told that his pet kangaroo would either have to return to Australia immediately or else the Canadian Department of Health would have to take Hoppity Hop and you-know-what-him.
Brismantle says that to him Hoppity Hop is just like a little brother, except with a whole lot more hair, much shorter arms, and a nice big convenient old pocket.
Joshua Brismantle decided to forego the Winter Olympics and returned back to his home in Perth, Australia with his pet kangaroo Hoppity Hop.
