Big Tent Party..to Circus Tent Party...to Pup Tent Party...GOP goes from "NO" to Zero...Didn't Pass Go

Funny story written by b kenneth mcgee

Sunday, 1 November 2009

A memo leaked from the Republican National Committee notes that the GOP is shrinking dramatically in size. "We are now more like the pup tent party...not the big tent party"....notes the memo. "We must seize on our strengths....our individualism, and our stand alone attitudes to counter this trend"

MIchael Steele, Chairman of the RNC hastily called a press conference in an effort to get ahead of the story. "We are proud....deeply proud...to be the Pup Tent Party. We are Republicans....we are individuals, and we are Americans who believe in the rights of almost all Americans. We are a stand alone people. In fact, at our convention in 2012 we are asking all of our attendees to bring their pup tents...camp on the lawn of whatever park we are meeting in and show the rest of America what patriots look like"

A reporter from the AP called out..."Mr. Chairman....it seems like your party is getting so small and so introverted...that it is like the famous Do-Do Bird that flew around in concentric circles until it flew up it's own ass" Steele replied angrily: "If that 's what it takes.......that's the way it will be......and YOUR ass is grass the next press conference we hold fella!"

As the press conference ended an agitated Steele was seen talking heatedly to former Senator Larry Craig who was seen smiling broadly and clapping wildly as the press conference ended. Steele was overheard to say........."Larry... I SAID...fly up your OWN ass!"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
