Congress last night voted to rename The White House in what some see as an effort by the house to look non-racist.
An emergency session led to a draft bill with several amendments being hastily drawn up.
Among the suggestions were The Black House, The Brown House and The Mauve House.
There were screams of "You Lie" when one elderly congressman, unfortunate enough to be from South Carolina, pointed out that The White House was, indeed, white.
The move comes after Rep. Joe Wilson shouted, "You lie" at US President Barack Obama during a lecture on health care.
Last night, Obama deliberated over the final choice of name though wife Michele's suggestion - The Pink House - was rejected out of hand.
Whatever name is chosen will have to be approved by the Supreme Court where, since 1841, black judges have been banned.
