Eldon, IO - A bizarre report from the police in this small farming town reveals the extent of the economic devastation in America today.
A farmer, one Ron Cockhand, was caught with a chicken that he was torturing. He was force feeding liquid sand to the chicken. This is the same material that is used to replace the oil in car crank cases that are going to be destroyed for a government rebate.
The farmer, slightly inebriated on silage fumes, was incoherent when arrested. But, after a few hours in the drunk tank, he was questioned by police, whose questioning finally got to the cause of the farmers behavior.
"It was for the cash for cluckers program", sobbed the farmer, too poor to be able to afford chicken feed.
