Thousands of the faithful have made a pilgrimage to El Paso, Texas see and be blessed by what is being called the Corazon De Maria, or Heart of Mary. The object of their adoration, a heart-shaped potato.

The divine spud was found by Imelda Gomez, a forty year old homemaker and mother of three in this border town in the arid, desert-like region of far western Texas. "I was peeling potatoes to put in a stew that I was preparing and this potato came rolling out of the sack. I have no doubt that this is a sign from God because that potato is shaped just like the heart of The Virgin Mary", Gomez said while making the sign of the cross several times.

The Vatican has shown an interest in the supernatural spud and plans to dispatch a team of miracle vegetable experts to El Paso to test the potato for supernaturalism.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
