Addressing a crowd in St Louis , Missouri, President Obama today indicated that there was a long hard slog ahead for the United States in the months and years to come.
The President promised the crowd that he would right the things that are wrong with the country, and appealed to voters to be patient. With the first 100 days of office under his belt, the President frankly admitted that he was not a miracle worker.
Several audience members rose angrily to their feet in order to heckle the President. The essence of their protests seemed to be that if Obama was a self-confessed non-miracle worker, then surely he should have said as much before the election, and not after it.
So that people could vote for somebody who could perform miracles. Like for example, Jesus, if he'd stood for election. Or even David Copperfield or David Blaine.
More as we get it.
