The drug violence in Mexico has escalated to epidemic proportions. Shootings between the warring drug cartels have become a daily occurrence.
Local police, state police, and Federal police are not having any impact on the violent situation at all. The president of Mexico has even brought in the Mexican Army to try and stem the tide of uncontrolled violence, but even that is not working.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has stated that the Senate was considering making Mexico the 51st state, but that proposal has since been squashed indefinitely.
Clinton was asked by CNN's Joe Johns if there was a chance that the Senate would reconsider and she replied, "No way, Jose!"
