Governor Schwarzenegger has stunned Californians by passing emergency legislation to allow legal marriage between animal puppet species.
The move is thought to be in response to a legal challenge being mounted by Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy who have been leading a high profile showbiz campaign since 1976.
Their supporters include Bette Midler and Stephen Spielberg, both of whom have admitted to dalliances with puppet pig love in the past.
A who's who of Hollywood will attend a gala dinner at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The menu will be strictly vegan at the request of Mr Kermit The Frog and Ms Piggy Lee.
However two faces will be absent. Scientologists Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are boycotting the event after calling it 'an abomination to all rational extraterrestrials across the galaxy'.
