Though political donations are a matter of the public record, many of the financial supporters of California's Gay hate Prop 8 would like to remain anonymous.
Investigators into the heavily bankrolled campaign against gay marriage are discovering that the donors often gather together in poorly lit bars and bath houses on the well heeled sides of towns and cities. They have been known to make believe that they have gay friends going so far as to hire "beardlesses" to accompany them to company functions and gay pride parades:
An LDS Bishop, who wished to remain nameless said that some of his friends have been receiving threatening phone calls and one was actually beaten up outside the bar at the Ritz-Carlton: "It just isn't safe to be a homo-hater anymore!"
