Bloomertown's Community Health Department announced today that it was investigating claims that local Doctor John, actually visited a patient in her own home, to carry out an examination.
The patient, an elderly woman with no transport who had been suffering from "death-throes" for over five weeks, had her niece to telephone the local Dr. John's Clinic and asked if Doctor John could call to see her because her condition was getting worse and that she was seeing her late English Spaniel, Churchill, with wings, and a bright light and a tunnel.
Doctor John then visited the woman, examined her, then gave her the medication to relieve her condition and save her life.
A spokesperson for the Humanana Medical Group told the Bloomertown Banner, "We apologize for the behavior of Doctor John. He should have known the rules. We can assure all our patients that home visits are unacceptable in this modern age of physician-collectives."
"Doctor John's record now has a Frowny Face on the cover."
Bloomertown Health Department Chairperson, Fran Radishetta McKinney, declined to comment on the incident, except to say that these occurrences were, "Extremely rare".
"We'll be keeping a close eye on Dr. John and other rebel doctors in the future."
