Washington DC. We are approaching the final week of the exciting national Halloween costume competition, which is held once every four years. This year, the competition is as fierce as ever, with many great costumes and outfits on display.
But it's all down to the final two now, a great battle between two icons of the horror industry: Blacula and Grandpa Munster.
Blacula would be the first black winner of the contest, should he get the prize. Grandpa Munster would be the only actual corpse to win the award, having died thirty years ago during the Vietnam war. So either way we have an extraordinary winner.
The prize is to haunt a huge Scooby-Doo style house in downtown Washington, and scare the hell out of various world leaders who will occasionally come and visit.
The winner of the previous two contests famously played the ghost of Bubbles, Michael Jackson's pet monkey who was tragically anally raped to death, and is standing down this year.
