A dynamic, and facetious, grassroots movement has burst onto the scene across the US. In response to the vicious, and childish, mocking performance on Saturday Night Live, outraged Sarah Palin supporters have begin a petition drive to deport Tiny Fey.
Playing off the belief that Tina Fey is Canadian, some think that deporting Tina may actually work.
Others, recognizing the humor in this movement, are hoping, if enough signatures are collected, Tina will leave the US voluntarily.
A spokesman for the "Deport Tina Fey" movement said:
"The funny thing is that Sarah Palin, is such a charismatic and beautiful woman, the Hollywood star, Tina Fey, struggles to keep up. In comparison to the graciousness and beauty of Sarah Palin, Tina Fey looks more like a 'frigid scarecrow' ".
The characterization of Tina Fey as a 'frigid scarecrow' seems to have taken hold. Young girls dress up like scarecrows and march in protest outside of SNL facilities across the US. In Hollywood Halloween shops, the costume flying off the shelves is the "Tina Fey Scarecrow" special.
One supporter said: "You've got to admit, if you've seen Tina's last movie, 'Baby Mama', Hollywood and the US will be a better place if we can convince Tina to take a permanent overseas vacation."
A huge crowd of "deport Tina Fey" supporters gathered in protest outside the SNL studios in New York during the filming of Thursday nights production. Chanting slogans and carrying signs, traffic was blocked of around Rockefeller Center for 2 hours.
Protesters chanted : "Hey hey ho ho Tina Fey has got to go" and "Hey hey ho ho, the frigid scarecrow has got to go."
When police arrived with battle gear and tear gas, the "deport Tina Fey" supporters laughed and went to Starbucks for a latte.
