Anchorage - Sarah Palin has convinced John McCain to campaign for the presidency by snowmobile. While winter may soon set in for the election run in Alaska and the northern states the election gambit may be more difficult to play out in the southern states.
Palin is counting on her husband Todd, a world champion snowmobile racer, to make it happen.
Todd says, "Obama may talk a good game, but dollars to doughnuts I can take the chump in a snowmobile race any day of the week."
McCain says he is game and has agreed to be pulled along by Palin's husband on a sledge normally reserved for lame old men, women and frozen seals. "We think we can take the south by snowmobile. Myrtle Beach, just received a federal grant for seven snow plows so all systems are go go go!"
Palin's camp may have overestimated their chances. The Obama camp is carrying on with conventional transportation methods using jet airplanes.
Todd says we can take those guys. "Once the rallies start, when we start gunning our machines and clapping with our snowmobile mitts on the sound is deafening."
