The United States Supreme Court upheld the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision that the United States Constitution is unconstitutional.
It was a 5-3 decision with Justices Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Antonin Scalia abstaining and Clarence Thomas voting both for and against the ruling.
"It is a great day for America." President George W. Bush declared in a press release.
While the Bush Administration was pleased with the decision, not everybody in Washington was happy. Congressmen Ron Paul (R-TX) and Dennis Kuchinich (D-Ohio) plan to have the ruling overruled and have scheduled an appeal on the "Judge Judy" show.
