Upper East Side, NYC - (Disaster Mess): Just days after Londoners complained bitterly about the mysterious collapse of an 800-tonne bridge in the City's Liverpool Street Station their New York counterparts are in shock following their own spooky construction site disaster.
This morning a crane collapsed onto the top floors of a East 91st Street/First Avenue apartment block, some eight weeks after a similar Midtown, Manhattan incident that claimed seven lives and injured ten.
"It's like a disaster pattern emerging," a worried East 91st Street/First Avenue resident told reporters.
Last week a New York City crane inspector was arrested for lying about an inspection prior to the St Patrick's Day weekend disaster.
Edward Marquette, 46, was charged with 'falsifying business records and placing a false instrument for filing' according to New York sources.
Eliot Spitzer is still in hiding.
