Washington, DC (IPP) - John McCain announced this afternoon that he had picked Dr. Povenmire Finootch as his choice to run along side of him as Vice President. "It looks like a McCain-Finootch ticket", was the word circulating through the major networks, cable news, and Yahoo as well as other internet news sites.
Dr. Povenmire Finootch (he likes to be called Mr. Finootch) was contacted about McCains decision. Dr. Finootch is the senior astronomer at the Mount Palomar Telescope Campus in California. Finootch said he's actually not even a Republican and was not aware of John McCain's decision.
President George Bush, Senator Hillary Clinton, and Senator Barrack Obama were not available for comment on McCain's decision. Bill Clinton told reporters that he liked McCain's choice and also said that having a scientist as Vice President might be a good thing for America.
